Erika
Eriksson is a Canadian Childrenswear Designer/Manufacturer based in Montreal.
The company is owned and operated by its founder, Erika Eriksson, who has been
in the fashion industry for over 20 years.
In 1988, after working for several years as a designer, stylist and patternmaker for a wide range of clothing manufacturers in and around Montreal, Ms. Eriksson launched her own label with a collection of suits and coats for women.
Since 1990 she has been concentrating on children's apparel, designing and producing her own line of middle-to-high-end children's clothing for the North-American market. Her creations for girls and boys aged 2-16 are sold in better boutiques across Canada and the United States and in many American department stores such as Barneys New York, Bloomingdale's, Jacobson's, Lord & Taylor, Marshall Fields/Dayton Hudson, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom and Saks Fifth Avenue, which devoted the cover of its first childrenswear catalogue to her. They are also available through the prestigious Wooden Soldier catalogue.
Ms.
Eriksson has had many write-ups in major newspapers and magazines, and her designs
have been featured in key trade publications including Children's Business,
Vogue Bambini and Earnshaw's Magazine, which recently nominated her for its
Earnie Award in the girls' outerwear category.
Ms. Eriksson has been presenting her collections at major trade shows for several years, and now has her own permanent showroom in New York City.
